Prapti Assessories Scarf & Scarf House

If you head over to East Azad Nagar, you’ll find us at 106 A. The sign for Prapti Assessories Scarf & Scarf House is there, though it might be a bit faded now. We have stacks of scarves everywhere you look. Some are silk, some are cotton, and they are all in different colors. It’s a bit of a mess sometimes because we are always pulling things out to show people or check the quality. The space isn't very large so we have to use the walls for storage too. It gets quite crowded when we have new stock coming in from the suppliers. We spend a lot of time counting pieces and making sure the tags are right. Azad Nagar is a busy neighborhood so there is always some noise from the street. We drink a lot of tea while we work. The windows get a bit dirty from the city air but we don't mind much. It’s a family-run kind of feeling here even if not everyone is related. We know our regulars and we know what they usually like. There isn't any fancy lighting or mirrors like the big malls. We just have some regular bulbs and our stock. It’s a straightforward business. We show up in the morning and stay until the shutters go down. Most of our days are spent just handling the fabric and talking to the people who drop by.
