Asif Enterprises is situated in the Main Market of Gokulpuri, which is part of the Yamuna Vihar area in Shahdara. If you know Delhi, you know how crowded and lively these markets can be. Our shop is right in the middle of all that action. There’s always someone shouting, a scooter honking, or a rickshaw trying to squeeze past. It’s a small space, but we pack a lot into it. We handle a variety of things depending on what our customers need. The shelves are full, and sometimes we have to move three boxes just to get to one item at the back. It’s a bit of a puzzle every day. We’ve been in Gokulpuri for years, and we’ve seen the market change quite a bit. Despite the changes, the busy vibe stays the same. We usually start early before the heat gets too bad. By midday, the whole street is buzzing. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who know the inventory inside out. We spend a lot of time talking to the other shopkeepers nearby—it’s like one big family in the market. We don’t bother with much advertising because word of mouth usually does the trick around here. It’s a hectic life, but we like being where the people are. We just keep the shop running and take care of the folks who walk through our door.
