Ashish N Soni

We are located at A-75 in Okhla Phase 2. This is Ashish N Soni, and our space is basically a working studio in the middle of a busy industrial area. It’s not the kind of place you come for a fancy shopping experience. Instead, you’ll find us surrounded by pattern papers, rolls of high-quality fabric, and the constant hum of sewing machines. The walls are mostly white, but they’re covered with sketches and notes pinned up everywhere. We spend most of our time focusing on the details of the clothes we make. Okhla is a bit of a maze, and the traffic outside can be a nightmare, but once you’re inside the gates, it’s all about the work. We have a small team of people who have been with us for a long time. We aren't big on marketing ourselves with flashy words. We’d rather just let the finished pieces speak for themselves. The floor is usually littered with scraps of silk or cotton by the end of the day. It’s a messy process, getting a garment right, and we don't try to hide that. We have some old chairs for visitors, but mostly people are standing around the cutting tables. It’s a practical, busy atmosphere where we’re always trying to balance the creative side with the reality of production. It gets loud and a bit chaotic, but that’s just the nature of what we do here in Okhla every day.
