About Asha Lace Enterprise – Metals & Minerals in Delhi
We are based out of No. 150 in Sector-3 of Bawana. It's an industrial area, so it’s mostly factories and warehouses around here. At Asha Lace Enterprise, we deal with all sorts of trims and laces. The machines make a lot of noise when they are running, so we usually have to raise our voices to hear each other. There are rolls of lace everywhere you look. Some are white, some are colored, and some have fancy patterns. We spend a lot of time checking the threads to make sure nothing is snagged. The floor is usually covered in little bits of string and fabric scraps by the end of the shift. Bawana is a long way for some people to travel, but this is where the work is. We have a small crew here. Most of us have been working with lace for years. It’s steady, rhythmic work. We pack the orders into big cardboard boxes and stack them by the door for the morning pickup. The air smells a bit like industrial oil and cotton. It isn't a glamorous job, but we get the orders right. Sometimes we sit outside for a break when the weather is nice. We just focus on making sure the lace is rolled properly and ready to go out to the customers.
