Arjav Cables

Our place is located at 274 Kumhar Wali Gali in Rampura Trinagar. If you’ve ever walked through the narrow lanes of Trinagar, you know how tightly packed everything is. Kumhar Wali Gali has its own character, with small shops and houses all leaning in together. We are surrounded by spools of cable in every size and color you can imagine. They are stacked up high in the corners and sometimes spill out into the walkway. We spend a lot of our time measuring out lengths and winding them back up for orders. It’s a bit of a workout for the arms. The lighting inside isn't the best, so we use some portable lamps when we need to see the fine print on the wires. It can get pretty noisy when the machines are running, but we’ve grown used to the steady rhythm. Neighbors often walk past and peek inside to see what we are doing. We usually have a pot of tea going on a small heater in the back. The floor is often covered in little scraps of plastic insulation that we have to clear away at the end of the shift. Working in Rampura means being part of a busy local community. We know most of the other shop owners on the street. It’s a busy life at Arjav Cables, but we prefer it that way. We just keep filling the orders and making sure the spools are ready to go.
