Our shop is tucked away on the second floor in Bajrang Bazar, which is inside the Chah Indara area near Lal Quila. If you know Bhagirath Palace, you know how packed it gets. There are wires and lights everywhere you look. It is a bit of a climb to get up to shop 2085/24 but once you are here, it is a little quieter than the street level. We have been running Arihant Electric Company from this spot for a long time. The shelves are filled with all sorts of electrical bits and pieces. Half the time, we are tripping over boxes because the space is small for everything we keep. It is not a shiny showroom by any means. It is just a place where we work and talk to customers who need parts for their projects. Usually, the lights are flickering a bit because we are testing something or other. The walls have some old posters and the desk is covered in papers. My father started this and now we just keep the routine going. We get a lot of tea from the guy downstairs who brings it in those little glass cups. It is a busy life but it is what we know. You can hear the crowd outside near the fort but in here it is just us and the inventory. We stay open late most days just to finish up.
