Ankit Electricals has been operating from Bhagirath Palace for quite some time now. If you know Chandni Chowk, you know how crowded and loud it gets around here. Our office is on the first floor at Plot 1809. It’s not a huge place, just enough room for a couple of desks and some product samples on the walls. We spend a lot of our time on the phone talking to electricians and contractors about their requirements. Sometimes the power goes out in the building or the stairs are blocked with heavy boxes, but we just keep going. Dealing with electrical parts means a lot of technical talk every day about wires and switches. We carry different brands and items depending on what people are asking for lately. It’s a busy market, so there’s always noise coming from the narrow street below. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Delhi. We just want to get the orders right and make sure things are delivered when we say they will be. Sometimes things get delayed because of the heavy traffic in the old city, which is just part of living and working here. The team here is small, mostly just a few of us. We mostly just focus on our handwritten ledgers and checking the inventory in the back. It’s not fancy work, but it is what we know.
