Ani

I started Ani here in Delhi because I just needed something to do and I liked making things. It wasn't some big plan or anything fancy. Just a small shop really. People come by, they ask for stuff, and we try to get it for them. Delhi is busy, you know? The streets are always crowded and there's noise everywhere. Our place is just one of many, tucked away in a corner. We don't have a big sign or a fancy website to show off. Mostly it's just neighbors and people who hear about us from their cousins or friends. I spend most of my days just organizing the stock and talking to the delivery guys who bring the crates. Sometimes the rain makes the roof leak a bit near the back door, but we manage with a bucket. It’s a lot of work running a place on your own, but it keeps me busy. My nephew helps out sometimes when he isn't busy with his school work. We have some regular customers who have been coming since we opened up. They stay for tea and we talk about the weather or how bad the traffic has gotten lately. That’s just how it is here. It's not a corporation. Just me and a couple of shelves of things. If you're walking around and you see the name, stop in. Or don't, it's fine. We keep things simple. No fancy lights or anything. Just the stuff and a chair.
