This shop is at No. 407/ M - 2, Street No. 1 in Than Singh Nagar, Anand Parbat. It’s a busy neighborhood with a lot of narrow streets and people everywhere. We sell shoes for everyone. Mostly we stock practical stuff like sandals and school shoes for the kids. We don’t carry those expensive brands you see in the fancy malls downtown. People here want something that lasts on the rough roads and won't break easily. The shop is packed with cardboard boxes. Sometimes they fall over if we stack them too high during a delivery. We have a couple of wooden benches for people to sit and try things on. It gets hot in the afternoons because the sun hits the front of the shop directly. We’ve been in Anand Parbat for years now. We know most of the families who live around here. We see the kids grow up and come back for bigger sizes every year. Street No. 1 is always full of activity and noise. We have to keep the floor clean because of all the dust coming in from the street. It’s just me and a helper most days. We open around ten and stay until the last customer leaves in the evening. There’s no fancy marketing here at all. We just put a few pairs out front on the rack so people know what we have. It’s an honest way to make a living. We just keep selling shoes and helping folks find a fit.
