Sarvodaya Enclave is usually a bit quieter than the commercial markets, but inside C-208, things are usually moving fast. Amazon Leathers Pvt. Ltd. is based here, and it feels more like a lived-in space than a stiff corporate office. We have files stacked on the shelves and samples hanging on the walls. It’s a bit of a mix between a workshop and a management office. The phone rings a lot, usually someone asking about a shipment or a price change. We spend a good chunk of our day on the computer, but we also have to go into the back to check on the actual leather pieces. The air here is different from the outside; it’s got that heavy, earthy scent of processed skins. We’ve got a small area where we sit and eat lunch together, usually talking about anything except work for twenty minutes. It’s a small group of us, so we all end up doing a bit of everything. If the courier is late, one of us might have to run out and meet them. The neighborhood is nice, with some trees outside the window, which is a nice change from the dusty industrial areas.
