Amaan Bag Works

If you go down Nala Road in Sadar Bazar, you’ll find Amaan Bag Works near Ram Singh Sweets. We are at number 7042 in the Pahari Dheeraj area. It’s a crowded part of the market, always full of people and noise. Our workshop is where we spend all our time stitching and fixing bags. We have a few heavy-duty sewing machines that make a lot of noise throughout the day. There are rolls of fabric and zippers everywhere you look. We make all sorts of bags, from small pouches to bigger travel ones. People often bring in their broken straps or stuck zippers for us to fix while they wait. It’s a hands-on kind of place. My hands are usually covered in thread bits or glue by the end of the shift. The shop isn't fancy at all, just a functional space where we work with our hands. Being near the sweets shop is nice because of the smell, though the street outside can get quite messy. We’ve been in Sadar Bazar long enough to know most of the other shopkeepers around here. We don't do much advertising; people just know we're here on the Nala Road. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning until we close the doors at night. We just try to make things that last, using whatever materials we have on hand to get the job finished properly.
