Bhagirath Palace is always a bit of a chaos, and that is where you will find us at 1826/II/18 in the Amar Nath Building. If you know the area, you know how tight the lanes are. We handle aluminum stuff and lighting parts right here in the middle of it all. The building is old and has that specific smell of dust and old wires. We spend a lot of time moving things up and down the narrow stairs. It is a workout. There is no air conditioning in the main storage area so we just keep the fans going full blast. We mostly talk to contractors and electricians who are looking for specific pieces for their jobs. We have a small corner where we keep the ledger and the old computer. It is not a place for showing off. We just have the stock and we know where everything is, even if it looks like a mess to someone else. Some days are slow and we just sit and watch the crowds go by outside. Other days we don't even have time to eat our tiffin. We have been in this spot for years and the neighbors are all like family now. We don't do much advertising, people just find us by word of mouth or by walking past the building. It is a rough and tumble business but it works for us and we like it.
