All Leather Gifts

Our business, All Leather Gifts, is at No. 7815/1 in the Ilyas Building. We are in Nai Basti, Bara Hindu Rao Road, near Rani Jhansi Road. This is a very old and busy part of the city. The building has a lot of history. We work with leather, so the smell is everywhere. It’s a distinct scent you get used to. We have rolls of leather and finished items scattered around. It’s not a high-end boutique. It’s more of a workshop where things are actually made. We have a few old sewing machines and cutting tables. The lighting isn't the best, but we know our way around. People come to us for all sorts of leather items. We don't have a marketing plan or a social media person. We rely on being here a long time. The neighborhood is always bustling. There are vendors and carts moving up and down the road. It can be loud and chaotic outside, but inside we just focus on our work. It’s a bit cramped with all the materials, but we make it work. We are just local people making things out of leather and trying to earn a living. The Ilyas Building has seen many years. You can feel it in the way the floors are slightly uneven. Our shop is a small part of this big, old structure. Being in Nai Basti means we are surrounded by other workshops and small homes. The noise of the city is always there. We spend our days cutting leather and stitching. We have scraps of different colors all over the floor. It’s not a clean office.
