Ajit Prashad & Son

Our shop is located on G B Road, which everyone knows is a very busy stretch. The full address is 5268 69, Shardhanand Marg. Ajit Prashad & Son has been around for quite some time. It started with the family and it stays that way. We carry a lot of different items, mostly hardware and stuff for machines. It’s a long road and there are many shops just like ours, so we just try to do our bit. The building is old, like most things in this part of Delhi. We spend our mornings opening up the crates and getting things ready for customers. It’s not a very quiet place. There are always horns honking and people shouting outside on G B Road. We have shelves that go all the way to the ceiling, packed with all sorts of metal parts and tools. Sometimes it takes a minute to find exactly what someone is looking for, but we usually know where everything is. We don't have a website or a big social media page. We just talk to the people who walk in. Most of our customers have been coming to us for years. It’s a steady rhythm of work. We handle the paperwork ourselves and keep things simple. 5268 69 is where you’ll find us most days of the week, just working through the stock.
