Star Cube Shirts

We are over here at Gali No-5 in Ajit Nagar, which everyone knows is part of the big Gandhi Nagar market area. Our place is at 9/4526. It gets really crowded on this street during the day with all the rickshaws and people moving bundles of cloth around. We spend most of our time dealing with shirts. There’s always piles of fabric sitting around and the sound of machines running in the background. My hands usually have threads stuck to them by the end of the day. It’s not a fancy office or anything, just a workspace where we get things done. Some days it’s quite hot inside, especially in the afternoons when the sun hits the front of the building. We’ve been at this spot for a while now. Neighbors know us as the shirt guys on the corner. We start early in the morning before the traffic gets too bad. You can hear the tea stall guy outside calling out for orders. It’s a busy life here in Delhi. Sometimes we lose track of time because there is always another batch of shirts to look at or some packing to finish up. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. People just walk in through the main door. It’s just how things work in this part of town. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily load. It’s a lot of manual work and checking sizes before we box things up.
