Ahuja Colour And Coatings is located out at Plot No. N- 104 in Sector-1 of the Bawana Industrial Area. It’s a long drive out to Bawana for some, but it’s where all the action is for businesses like ours. The DSIIDC area is always buzzing with activity, trucks constantly coming in and out. Our workshop is a straightforward space. We’ve got shelves lined with different pigments and drums of coating base. It’s not a fancy showroom. Most of the time, the floor has a few splashes of color on it that won’t come off, but that’s just the nature of what we do. We start early, usually before the sun gets too high, to beat the heat. The office is just a small partitioned corner with an old desk and a couple of chairs. We don’t spend much time sitting there anyway. Most of the day is spent on the floor, mixing and checking things. It’s a dusty area, so we’re always cleaning off the equipment. The guys here have been working together for a long time, so we don’t need to say much to get things moving. We eat our lunch together near the front door where there’s a bit of a breeze. It’s just a regular workplace where we try to get things right. No big corporate talk, just the sound of the mixers and the occasional radio playing in the background.
