Aggarwal Plywood Company

We are located in Multani Dhanda in the Paharganj area. Aggarwal Plywood Company has been dealing with wood and sheets for years. The shop is usually full of the smell of sawdust and glue. It’s a narrow street, so getting the big trucks in with the plywood is always a bit of a challenge. We spend a lot of time hauling boards around and checking for knots or cracks. It’s a physical job and it keeps us tired. Paharganj is a crowded place, and Multani Dhanda is no different. We have stacks of plywood reaching up to the ceiling. We don't have a fancy showroom with carpets. It’s a concrete floor and wooden shelves. People come to us because they need material for their homes or their shops. We don't give them a big sales pitch. We just show them what we have in the back. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to work by flashlight, but we don't complain. It’s just life in this part of Delhi. We’ve been here so long that we know all the other shopkeepers on the block. We drink tea together and talk about the price of wood. We don’t have a mission statement or anything like that. We just sell plywood and try to do a decent job of it every single day. The pencil behind my ear is usually blunt, but it still marks the wood okay.
