Laxmi Enterprises

Laxmi Enterprises is tucked away at No. 2942/10 in Adarsh Market, right on the first floor on Hamilton Road. If you know Hamilton Road, you know it’s a place where people come to get things done. Our space in Adarsh Market isn't very large, but we make the most of it. We have shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling to hold our stock. Most of the time, the floor is covered with bubble wrap or packing tape because we are always getting shipments ready to go out. It’s a bit of a maze inside with all the boxes, and you have to watch your step. We don't really do any advertising or fancy brochures. Our business comes from the relationships we’ve built with other traders in the market over many years. My brother and a cousin work here with me. We start early in the morning before the heat gets too bad and the market gets too crowded. We spend a lot of time on the phone haggling with suppliers or checking on where a delivery has reached. Sometimes the lift in the building doesn't work, so we have to carry everything up the stairs, which is quite a workout. It’s a noisy, dusty, and busy life, but it’s our business and we take care of it. We aren't looking to become a giant company; we just want to keep things running smoothly here in the market for as long as we can.
