Our small business is located in the DDA market in Pitam Pura, specifically at Qd-5. It is a very busy market area with people always walking past the window. Our shop is quite small and it is usually packed with different items we trade. There is not much room to move around once we start opening boxes. Trading involves a lot of checking lists and making sure everything matches up. The market gets incredibly noisy in the evenings when everyone is out shopping. We like the energy of it, though. My nephew helps me with the heavy lifting and moving crates around. We have one small stool for anyone who wants to sit and chat for a minute. Most of the time we are just busy with the phone or writing in the ledger. We don't have any posters or a website that looks professional. It is just a basic trading business run by regular people. We have known the other shopkeepers in this row for a long time now. We often share news and talk about the day over a cup of tea. The market has strict rules about when we can bring in new stock, so we have to be quick. Some days the rain leaks a little through the front door, but we just use a plastic sheet to keep things dry. It is a real job with real daily problems. We don’t pretend to be some big company. We just do our work here.
