Our office, Yogendra Verma And Associates, is stuck right in the middle of everything at 24, Dhamawala Bazar. If you’ve ever been to the bazar in Dehradun City, you know it’s always crowded and full of life. Our office is a bit of an escape from all that noise, though you can still hear the scooters and the shouting from the market outside. We’ve been here for a long time, and the building definitely shows its age, but it works for us. We handle a lot of the accounting and tax work for the traders around here. It’s a lot of hand-written notes and old-school ledgers sometimes, along with the computer work. We don't have a fancy waiting room or anything like that. Usually, people just pull up a chair and we start looking at their bills. It’s a very hands-on kind of place. We know the shopkeepers nearby and often chat with them while we’re getting tea. The work is steady, and there’s always something to do, especially when the end of the financial year comes around. We don't make big promises or use corporate jargon. We just sit down, go through the receipts, and make sure everything adds up. It’s a busy life in the bazar, and we wouldn't have it any other way. We just keep doing what we’ve always done at our little spot in 248001.
