Variety Center General Store

Variety Center General Store is tucked away in the Amba Complex on Chakrata Road, right across from the SBI ATM. If you know the Krishna Nagar area, you have probably walked past us while looking for a place to withdraw cash or just heading down the main road. The store is exactly what the name says—a bit of everything. We have shelves crammed with all sorts of household items, snacks, and stationery. It is a bit of a tight squeeze inside sometimes because we try to keep so many different things in stock for the people who live nearby. Being in a complex like Amba means we have neighbors running other small shops, and there is always someone coming or going. We are not a big supermarket with bright lights and uniforms. It is just a regular general store where the floor might be a bit worn and the shelves are a little crowded. We spend most of the day reaching for things on high shelves or helping someone find a specific kind of soap or a notebook. It gets busy in the evenings when people are coming home from work and realize they forgot something for dinner. We don't do much in the way of advertising. Most of our customers are just people from the neighborhood who have been coming to us for years because they know we are right here on the road.
