Vijay Surgical & Medicine Center is located at 50 Krishna Market in Subhash Nagar. If you know where Gupta Store is, we are right near there, so it’s pretty easy for most locals to find us. We handle a lot of surgical supplies and all the regular medicines people need for their day-to-day health. The shop is packed with boxes and bottles, sometimes all the way up to the ceiling because we try to keep everything in stock. It’s a busy little corner of the market and there is always someone coming in for a bandage or a bottle of syrup. We don't have a lot of space for people to lounge around, it’s more of a get-what-you-need and go kind of place. The shelves are a bit crowded and the counter is usually covered in notebooks and prescription slips. Subhash Nagar is a lively neighborhood, so we see a lot of the same faces every week. We aren't a big corporate pharmacy with fancy uniforms or anything. We just wear our regular clothes and get to work. Sometimes we’re chatting with the delivery guys or helping someone figure out exactly what their doctor wrote on a scrap of paper. We’ve been in Krishna Market for a long time and have seen the shops around us change owners, but we’re still right here at number 50. It’s just a practical medical shop doing its thing for the neighborhood.
