Srd Dental Clinic And Orofacial Surgical Centre is located over at 60 Hemkung Colony in the Vijay Park area of Dehradun City. Being in Dehradun is nice because the weather isn't too bad, though it rains quite a bit sometimes. Our clinic is in a residential-feeling spot, so it isn't as loud as the main market areas. I like the walk to work in the mornings because the trees in Vijay Park are quite green. The clinic itself is pretty straightforward. We have the dental chairs and all the usual tools you’d expect. I spend a lot of time making sure everything is sterilized and organized. It isn't a massive place, just enough room for us and a few patients at a time. Sometimes people get nervous coming in, so I try to have some old magazines around or just talk about the weather. We don't do much advertising; most people just find us because they live nearby or someone told them about us. The floors are white and we try to keep them that way, which is hard during the monsoon when everyone brings in mud. It is just a regular dental office where we keep things simple. We have our routines, like opening the shutters at nine and checking the mail. It is a quiet kind of life here in Hemkung Colony, and we are just happy to be a part of it. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background to help people relax. It feels like a second home to most of us who work here every day.
