Shivalik Education And Research Foundation is based out of Sanjay Gosain’s place on the Shimla Bypass Road. It is a rural area, so things move a bit slower than in the city center. We spend most of our time looking at how local kids are getting on with their studies. It is not always easy for students out here to find the books or help they need. We are not a big school or anything, just a small group of people interested in research and teaching. The bypass road gets busy with trucks, but once you step inside, it is quiet enough to get some work done. Sanjay lets us use the space so we have a desk and a chair to organize things. We do not have any fancy posters or a marketing team. Most people just find us by word of mouth. Sometimes it feels like we have too much to do and not enough hands, but that is how it goes in a small setup. We do not claim to have all the answers. We just want to help people learn a bit more and maybe find better ways to do things in the village schools around here. It is honest work and it keeps us busy every day. We do not need a lot of fuss. Just a place to sit and some people who want to learn something new. Life is practical here, and we just try to be useful.
