Sharma Sadbhavna Medical Centre

If you go down to 17-c New Road, you’ll see our sign for Sharma Sadbhavna Medical Centre. It’s tucked in there with some other shops and small businesses. We’ve been operating out of this spot for a long time. It’s a basic medical office, nothing you’d see in a movie. We have a front desk that always seems to have too many papers on it, and the light in the hallway sometimes hums a bit. People come in with all sorts of regular problems, maybe a cough or something they need checked out. We know most of the neighbors. Sometimes people just stop by to say hello while they’re out doing their errands. New Road can get a bit crowded with cars parked everywhere, so finding a spot right in front is lucky. We keep the place clean, but it looks like a place where work gets done. It isn't shiny or new. We just have the usual rooms and the smell of antiseptic that you get in any clinic. The chairs are mismatched because we added a few more over the years as we needed them. It’s just a local place for local people. We try to get through the day and help who we can. That’s about it for us here. We keep the records in those big metal cabinets against the wall, and sometimes it takes a minute to find what we need.
