Sharma Amrit & Co

Sharma Amrit & Co is situated on the 3rd floor of Astley Tower, which is at 123/55 Subhash Road in Dehradun. We are quite close to the Pacific Hotel. To get to us, you have to come into the building and head up to the third floor. It’s an older building, so it has that specific smell of old concrete and paper. The office is full of tall wooden shelves packed with files from years ago. There are a few desks scattered around and a small area where people can sit and wait. Dehradun city is always humming, and from our windows, you can see the activity on Subhash Road. It’s a good view, though the windows could probably use a good cleaning. We spend most of our time looking at ledgers or typing on the keyboards. Amrit and the rest of the staff have a routine that hasn't changed much in a long time. We start early and usually stay until the sun goes down. It’s a quiet environment for the most part, unless the phones start ringing all at once. We don't have any modern art or fancy carpets. It’s a workspace meant for actual work. Sometimes the elevator in the building is out of service, so we get a bit of a workout on the stairs. It’s just a normal professional office in a busy part of the city. We do what we have to do.
