Our brick business is located out in Village Chandely, right near the post office in Khatima. It is a quiet spot most of the time, except when the tractors are moving in and out with loads of earth. We have been working the ground here for a while now. The village life is slow, which suits us just fine. We don't have a fancy storefront or anything. You just drive down the dusty road and you will see the stacks of bricks drying in the sun. We spend a lot of time checking the weather because rain is not our friend in this line of work. Satyacon Brick is just a local operation where we do things the old way. My hands are usually stained with red dust by noon. We don't use big words or have meetings. We just talk about the next batch and how the soil is looking. Sometimes the neighbors stop by to chat while we are working. It gets hot out there in the open fields, but we are used to it. The office is just a small room with a fan that clicks. We keep our records in big ledgers and try to stay on top of the orders coming in from the nearby towns. If you need bricks, you just come by and ask for us. We stay busy enough without needing to shout about it. The work is hard and it is honest, and that is all there is to it.
