S K Memorial Hospital

Our place, S K Memorial Hospital, is situated at 12 East Canal Road. If you know the area, you know that East Canal Road can get pretty busy at certain times of the day with all the cars and people moving back and forth. The hospital has been a part of this street for a long time. It’s not one of those new glass buildings you see in the city center. It’s a solid, practical building that has seen a lot of use over the years. Inside, it smells like any other hospital, mostly floor cleaner and medicine. We have different floors for different things, and the elevators are a bit slow, so a lot of us just take the stairs to save time. The staff works in shifts, so there is always someone around the halls, even in the middle of the night when it finally gets a bit quiet outside. We see a lot of families coming in and out. Some are here for quick things, and others stay longer. The desks are covered in papers and computers that have seen better days, but we manage to keep everything organized enough to function. Being on East Canal Road means we get people from all over this side of town. It’s just a regular hospital doing what it needs to do every day. No big fancy lobby, just rooms and hallways where the work gets done by the nurses and doctors.
