Ray Clinic

Ray Clinic is situated over in Ambedkar Colony on the Raipur Road near Tapovan. It’s a busy part of the area because of the main road but the colony itself is more of a residential feel. We are easy to spot if you are walking toward Tapovan. The clinic is basically just a few rooms where we see patients throughout the day. I usually get here early to open the shutters and sweep out the front. The floor gets dusty really fast because of the Raipur Road traffic. We have a small bench outside for people to sit on if the inside gets too full which happens quite often on Mondays. Most of the folks coming in live right here in Ambedkar Colony so we see the same kids growing up over the years. We do a lot of basic checkups and sometimes dressing for small wounds. It’s not the kind of place where you’d go for big surgery but for a fever or a cold it works out fine. The lighting inside is a bit dim but we have some big windows that help during the day. Sometimes the tea shop next door brings us some snacks which is nice. We don't really have a big staff just a couple of us doing the daily work. It is a very normal neighborhood clinic and we don't try to be anything else. Tapovan is just up the road so we get some travelers too.
