I’m writing this from our small spot on Laxmi Road here in Dehradun. The shop is Raw Hide Obsession Exclusive Fashion Leather, and we’ve been at this 1F address for a while now. Most days it’s just about getting the doors open and making sure the leather pieces are dusted off. It gets a bit chilly in Dehradun sometimes, so having these leather jackets and bags around feels right for the weather. It isn't a big fancy showroom like you see in malls. It’s more of a practical place where we keep things organized on the shelves. People walk up to the first floor, usually locals who know where we are tucked away. We spend a lot of time just checking the stitching on the goods and moving boxes around. Laxmi Road is always busy with traffic and people going about their day. My desk is usually covered in receipts and some tea cups from the morning. We don't have a big team or anything, just a few of us making sure everything stays in order. Sometimes the lights flicker a bit, but that's just part of being in an older building. We just wanted a name that sounded like what we do, which is leather. It’s nothing more than a local shop doing its thing. If you’re walking past the 1F area, you’ll see our sign. It's a simple setup, really.
