We are located at No-74/1, right by the Bindal Bridge on Chakrata Road. It’s a very busy spot and there’s always a lot of noise from the vehicles crossing the bridge. We have been here for a long time, trading in hardware and various building supplies. The shop is quite traditional. We have high shelves filled with all sorts of items, and sometimes you need a ladder to reach the stuff at the top. It’s not the most modern-looking place, but it has everything we need to operate. There’s usually just a couple of us here, along with a helper who helps move the heavier bags and crates. We don't really use computers for everything; we still have a big paper ledger where we write down the daily sales. People usually stop by while they’re driving through or if they live in the nearby streets. It’s a handy location because it’s so central. We keep a small stove in the back for making tea, which we share with customers if they’re waiting for an order to be pulled together. The walls have some old calendars on them and the floor is a bit worn from all the foot traffic. We just take each day as it comes and try to be helpful to whoever walks through the door. It’s a simple life and a simple business, really.
