Pragati Nursery Seed Stores

You can find us at No. 161 Pandit Wari, right near the post office in Prem Nagar. We’ve got Pragati Nursery Seed Stores set up there. It’s mostly just rows of seeds in little packets and some saplings sitting in the sun. My hands are usually covered in dirt by noon. We don't have a big staff, just a couple of us who like growing things. People from the village and even the city come by looking for vegetable seeds or maybe something for their garden. We keep the store open even when it’s raining, though it gets a bit muddy around the entrance. Sometimes a batch of seeds doesn't sprout like we hoped, and that's just how nature works. We don't try to talk anyone into buying more than they need. If you want tomatoes, we show you the different kinds we have in the drawer. It's a lot of work keeping everything watered, especially when it gets hot in the summer. The shelves are a bit old and creaky. We’ve been at this spot for quite a few seasons now. People know they can find us here if they need advice on when to plant their beans. We just enjoy the quiet and the green things around us. It's a decent way to spend the day. There's always a cat hanging around the flower pots, and the air smells like wet soil most of the time.
