We've been running Panch Tattva Tour And Travel Pvt Ltd out of the Mahananda Complex for a while now. Rishikesh is always busy, especially around Tapovan. Being at number 20 in the complex means we see a lot of people coming through looking for help with their trips. We also look after folks over in Dehradun since it's not that far of a drive from where we are. The office is just a regular spot where we handle all the paperwork for the tours. It gets a bit noisy outside sometimes with the traffic and the crowds, but that is just how it is here. Most days involve answering the phone and trying to get the schedules right for the drivers. People come in asking about local spots or how to get to the next town. We don't have anything fancy, just the desks and some chairs for when someone needs to sit down and figure out their itinerary. It is a local operation through and through. Living and working in Uttaranchal keeps us on our toes because the weather can change things quickly. We just try to keep things moving and make sure the cars are where they need to be. It’s a lot of coordination, really. Sometimes we’re busy with groups, other times it’s just one or two people looking for a ride. We just stay here in the complex and do the work that comes our way every day. Our team is small, but we know the roads and the area well enough to get by.
