Mehandi Fashions

Mehandi Fashions is situated at 78, Dispnacry Road, right across from Gandhi Inter college in Dehradun. It is a very lively spot to be. You can hear the school bells ringing and the sound of students chatting as they walk past our front door. Dehradun has changed a lot over the years, but this area still feels like the old town. Our shop is filled with all sorts of things, and it can get a bit crowded when more than three people come in at once. We spend a lot of our time talking to the neighbors or the people who have been shopping on this road for decades. It is a simple setup. We have racks and some glass counters. Sometimes we have to move the displays out onto the sidewalk a little bit just to show what we have. It gets quite cold here in the winters, so we usually have a heater going in the corner. In the monsoon, we have to be quick with the plastic sheets to keep the rain from coming in. It is just a regular life here. We don't use any fancy systems or anything. We just write things down and try to remember where we put that one specific piece of clothing someone asked for last week. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that is how a real shop works. We just stay here and do our best to keep things moving along.
