Mansi Creations

We’ve been here on Subhash Road for quite a while now. If you are looking for our shop, we are tucked right behind the Kala Kendra building. It is not a very big place, just a simple workspace where we handle our creations. Some days it gets pretty cramped with all the fabric and rolls of thread lying around on the floor. My sister and I usually start the day early, around eight, to get a head start before the street gets too noisy. Subhash Road can get really jammed with cars and rickshaws, especially in the afternoons. We have a couple of old sewing machines that make a lot of noise, but they still work fine for what we need. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to get around to it. We just focus on getting the work done for the people who stop by. Most of our customers are from the neighborhood or people who happen to be visiting the art center. It is a quiet life for the most part, except for the sound of the traffic outside. We do not have a big fancy sign or a lobby. It is just us in here with our scissors and measuring tapes. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we just sit outside for a bit until it comes back on. It is just how things go around here. Anyway, we are usually here until late evening.
