Koti Vriksha Foundation

Koti Vriksha Foundation is situated at Number 1 Badrinath Road in the Ghugtani area of Tapovan. We are quite close to Bless Cottage if you are looking for a landmark in Rishikesh. This part of Tehri Garhwal is beautiful, and being near the road means we see a lot of people passing through. We started this foundation because we wanted to focus on things related to the local environment and the trees around here. The word Vriksha is in our name for a reason. Our office is a simple room where we keep our tools and some books about local plants. It isn't a corporate setup at all. Usually, you’ll find one of us sitting there drinking tea and looking over some maps or plans for the next planting season. We spend a lot of our time outdoors, honestly. Sitting in an office all day doesn't really suit what we do. The traffic on Badrinath Road can get pretty loud, especially during the tourist season, but we’ve gotten used to the noise. We aren't trying to change the whole world, just our little corner of Rishikesh. People sometimes stop by to ask about what we are planting or how they can help out. We don't have any formal tours or anything, we just talk to whoever walks in. It’s a very casual way of running things, but it works for us.
