Kavery Jewellery

Kavery Jewellery is our family shop in Pahadi Gali, over in Vikas Nagar. We’ve been here for many years now. The shop is small, but we have a lot of regular customers who have been coming to us for generations. We mostly sell gold and silver items. Vikas Nagar is a busy area, and Pahadi Gali is always full of people walking around. It can get quite loud with the street vendors outside. We don't have the big glass windows and security guards like the famous stores in the city center. It’s just a simple counter and some stools for customers to sit on while they look at the designs. We do a lot of repairs too, like fixing broken chains or resizing rings. People trust us because they know my father and my grandfather. We don't do much marketing. Our name spreads by word of mouth in the neighborhood. Some days are very quiet, and we just sit and polish the silver. Other days, during the wedding season, it’s so packed we barely have room to breathe. We just take things as they come. It’s a traditional way of doing business, but it works for us. We like being part of the local community here in Vikas Nagar. It feels like home, even when the street gets too crowded. We just want to keep the shop going for the next generation to take over.
