Gopinath Seva Foundation

Our place is located at MIG 38 inside the Avas Vikas colony over in Rishikesh. It’s a pretty well-known spot, so finding us isn't usually too much trouble for folks who live around here. For quite a while now, we have been running the Gopinath Seva Foundation out of this house. Since it’s a standard residential building, there isn't anything flashy or corporate about the way we do things. A couple of rooms are set aside for our daily work, and they’re mostly filled with old folders and scribbled notes. While Rishikesh stays busy with pilgrims and visitors, Avas Vikas feels like a regular neighborhood where people just live their lives. This keeps us connected to the local families. Our zip code is 249201, and that’s where we feel we belong. Most of us who help out here have our own families and jobs to worry about, but we still make time for the foundation because it's important to us. There is no big marketing budget or team of experts here. Usually, it is just a few of us sitting around a table with some chai, figuring out the next project. Sometimes monkeys on the roof make a racket or a cow blocks the street, but that’s just how life goes in Rishikesh. We take things as they come and try to be useful. We aren't trying to change the entire world, just our little corner of it from MIG 38. It’s humble work.
