Gangotri Hospital

We've been here on Haridwar Road in Dehradun for quite some time now. It’s a busy stretch of road, so there is always a lot of noise from the traffic outside, especially during the mornings when everyone is heading to work. The hospital itself isn't fancy, just a plain building where we try to keep things organized. I usually get here early to check if the night shift had any trouble. We have different floors for different things, and the hallways can get a bit crowded when families come to visit. Sometimes the elevator acts up, so we just take the stairs. It’s mostly local people from the city who come to see us. We don’t have any big posters or anything, just the sign out front that people know. The reception area has some old chairs that have seen better days, but they do the job for someone waiting. Dehradun weather can be nice, but when it rains, the water splashes up from Haridwar Road right onto our entrance. We spend a lot of time just keeping the floors dry then. There are a few trees nearby that give some shade, but mostly it's just the urban sprawl. Our doctors are usually busy running between rooms. It is a lot of work, and some days are longer than others, but that is just how it goes in a place like this. We just keep the lights on and help whoever walks through the doors.
