The Army Traders

The Army Traders is based at No. 59. It’s a simple building and honestly, if you weren’t looking for the number, you might walk right past it. We’ve been here for a good amount of time now. The inside is full of shelves and boxes because that’s just how the business goes. It gets a bit dusty sometimes, especially when we are moving things around, but we try to keep it tidy enough to find what we need. Most of the guys here have a routine. We show up, check what needs to go out, and get to work. There’s no big sign with flashing lights or a receptionist waiting to greet people. Usually, it’s just one of us coming to the door if someone knocks. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking lists. It’s a bit of an old-school way of doing things, but it has worked for us so far. The space isn’t huge, so we have to be smart about where we put stuff. Sometimes we lose track of time when a big order comes in. It’s a practical place for practical work. We don’t really do anything fancy here, just the day-to-day tasks that keep the business moving along. It can get loud when the trucks are nearby, but that’s just part of being in this area. We usually have a lunch break around one, and then it is back to the boxes until we close up for the day.
