We are situated on the second floor of Doon Plaza, which is at 202A on Gandhi Road in Dehradun. It is a busy spot right in the heart of the city. Being on the second floor means we get a bit of a view of the street below, which is always full of cars and people. We focus on daily needs, which basically means we help with the small but important things people need to get by. We are not a big supermarket or a bank. We are a foundation that looks at how to make life a little easier for the average person. The office is usually quite busy with people coming and going throughout the day. We have a small team, and we all do a bit of everything—from cleaning the office to handling the accounts and answering the door. We do not have fancy titles or big private offices. We just sit together in the main room and work. Gandhi Road is a great location because it is so central, even if the parking is a bit of a nightmare for us and our visitors. We have been here for a while and have become part of the daily rhythm of the plaza. We try to be practical and straightforward in everything we do. There are no complicated systems here, just honest work and trying to be useful to the people of Dehradun who stop by our door.
