Canvas Art Gallery

Canvas Art Gallery is located at 18 Vishnu Lok on Tapovan Road. We are quite close to the Block Office in the Raipur Road area of Dehradun City. It’s a bit of a quieter spot compared to the main market, which is nice for an art place. We have frames hanging all over the walls. Some are from local artists and some are just things we’ve collected over time. It’s not a polished museum or anything like that. It’s more like a workshop that happens to have art on display. The floors are often a bit messy with bits of wood or paper because we do a lot of the work right here. We spend our time looking at colors and trying to get things to look right in a frame. Sometimes the lighting isn't perfect, but we do our best with what we have. People wander in from the neighborhood just to look around. We don’t mind. It’s a relaxed atmosphere. We don’t use those fancy descriptions for the paintings. If someone likes a piece, they like it. The building is a regular house that we’ve turned into this gallery space. It feels more like a home than a business. We usually have the radio playing softly in the background while we work. It’s a simple, creative life here on Tapovan Road. We just like making things and showing them to whoever stops by.
