Astha Hospital

Astha Hospital is tucked away at 2/1 in Dehradun City, not too far from Ballupur Chowk. If you know the area, you know how hectic the chowk can get, especially during the morning rush. We are close enough to be convenient but just far enough that the main noise stays out on the road. The building itself is an older structure, and you can tell by the high ceilings and the way the windows are built. We have a small area out front where people park their scooters and bicycles. Inside, the walls are painted a neutral color that’s faded over the years. We spend a lot of our time walking back and forth between the rooms and the main desk. The reception area is usually piled with folders and local newspapers that people leave behind. It’s a very local feel here. Everyone knows each other’s names, and the nurses often chat about their families while they’re tidying up the equipment. We don’t have a professional marketing team or anyone to make us look polished. We just have the doctors, the staff, and the people from Dehradun who come in for their checkups. Sometimes the monkeys from the trees nearby cause a bit of a stir on the roof, but we just ignore them and get back to work. It’s a simple, honest place where we do our best to manage the daily flow of patients.
