Association For Social Sustainability

We started Association For Social Sustainability a while back, over in Bhagwahpur, right behind where Amitanshu Clinic is located. It isn't a very fancy spot but we get the work done. Mostly, we are focused on education and research stuff. There is also a lot of training happening here. People come in when they need to learn something specific or if they are looking into how things in our community can last longer without falling apart. We spend our days looking at data and then talking to folks about what the research actually means for them. It’s a lot of paperwork sometimes, honestly. But seeing someone finally get a handle on a new skill makes the long hours worth it. We aren't trying to be the biggest group around. We just want to make sure the people who come to us in Bhagwahpur leave with more knowledge than they had when they walked through the door. The building is easy to find if you know the clinic area. We keep things pretty simple. No big offices or anything like that. Just a few rooms with desks and some books. Sometimes the power goes out, or the internet acts up, but we just keep going. It is just a handful of us working here, trying to keep up with the training sessions and the research projects we have on our plates right now.
