Agarwal Kitchenware & Hardware

Our shop, Agarwal Kitchenware & Hardware, is located on Mamu Bhanja Road, right near Gandhi Park. It’s a very crowded area and the streets can be quite narrow with all the rickshaws and vendors. We carry a mix of things, from kitchen pots and pans to regular hardware tools. Everything is squeezed into the shelves. You can hear the sound of stainless steel clanking whenever someone is looking through the stock. Gandhi Park is just a short walk away, and sometimes the noise from the park spills over into our street. We’ve got stacks of containers and boxes almost reaching the ceiling. It’s not the most organized looking place, but we have a system that works for us. People come in looking for specific things for their homes, and we spend a lot of time digging through the bins to find them. The air in the shop usually smells like new metal. We don't have air conditioning, so we just leave the front wide open to the street. It’s a family kind of place where things are done the old way. We write out bills by hand and keep a close eye on the stock levels. Mamu Bhanja Road is always full of life, and we’ve been a part of it for a long time. It’s a bit chaotic with all the items crammed in, but it’s our daily routine and we like it.
