A K Company

Our business, A K Company, is based in Rawat Para. It’s an old part of town, and the buildings reflect that. We’ve been operating out of this space for quite some time now. It’s not a very large operation. We have a few rooms where we store everything and a small area where we handle the billing and the phone. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to get around to it because there’s always something else to do. We deal with whatever comes our way. Mostly, it’s just about being reliable and being there when people expect us to be. We don’t have a website or a big marketing plan. We just talk to people who come by and help them out with what they are looking for. The street outside can get quite narrow, especially when trucks are trying to squeeze through. We’ve learned to time our shipments so we don’t cause too much of a traffic jam. It’s just a regular local business. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to do a decent job and keep things moving. Most of our neighbors have been here as long as we have, so it feels more like a community than just a place of work. We usually close up early on Saturdays to spend time with our families. It is a simple life and it keeps us busy enough.
