Neel Kanth Traders is located at Shop No- 104 inside the Vijay Patel Vegetable and Fruit Market in the city of Deesa. Working in a market means our day starts way before most people are even awake. We arrive at the market when it is still dark to start setting things up. There is a lot of shouting and noise as the trucks bring in the fresh produce. Our shop at 104 is right in the middle of it all. We handle a lot of different vegetables and fruits, moving them from crates to the display areas. It is very physical work and your back definitely feels it by the end of the day. Deesa can get really hot, so we try to move as fast as we can in the early hours. Neel Kanth Traders is just a small part of this big market. We have many neighbors who do the same kind of thing, so we all know each other well. Sometimes we share a meal or just complain about the prices of things. The floor of the shop is usually covered in bits of leaves or dirt, but that is normal for a place like this. We don't have time for a lot of cleaning until the market slows down in the afternoon. By the time most people are having their lunch, we are finishing up our main work for the day and getting ready to do it again tomorrow. It is a long day but we are used to the rhythm of the Vijay Patel Market.
