You’ll find Shree Hinglaj Cement Products out on the Tharad Highway, right near the Market Yard in Lakhni. It’s a dusty spot, as you might expect from a place that makes things out of cement. We spend our days out in the yard, mixing and casting and letting things dry in the sun. It’s physical work and it can be hard on the back, but we’re used to it. We make things like pipes, blocks, and other basic items people need for building. We don't have a showroom with bright lights. Most of our products are just stacked up in the yard waiting to be loaded onto trucks. Lakhni is a small place, so we know most of the contractors and farmers who come to buy from us. They usually just pull up in their tractors or trucks and we help them load what they need. We don't have a big mission statement or anything. We just try to make stuff that doesn't break. If a batch doesn't come out right, we don't sell it. It’s as simple as that. The highway can be noisy with all the trucks passing by, but it’s good for business because people see us as they drive into town. We’ve been doing this for several years now. It started as a small idea and slowly grew as we added more molds. My son helps me out now, learning the trade. We're just regular people doing a regular job.
