Gopal Steel Furniture

Gopal Steel Furniture is located right across from the APMC market on Patan Road. If you are familiar with that area, you know how busy it gets with all the trucks and people coming for the market sales. Our shop is usually filled with the sound of metal being moved around or the occasional welding spark. We make things like cupboards and racks that people actually use in their houses or small offices. It’s not the kind of stuff you see in a fancy mall, but it’s strong and it lasts. The road outside stays pretty dusty, so we are always wiping down the finished pieces before someone comes to pick them up. We’ve been at this spot for several years now. Most of the people who come in are locals who heard about us from their neighbors or saw the sign while stuck in traffic. It gets really hot in the middle of the day, so we usually take a longer break then to sit in the shade. My brother and I run the place with a couple of helpers who know how to handle the heavy steel sheets. We don't do much advertising because there isn't really time for it between managing the stock and talking to customers. It’s a simple setup, but it works for us and the people in Patan. We just try to get the orders done on time and hope the rain doesn't leak through the roof.
