Nucare Laboratories (India)

Nucare Laboratories (India) is located over at plot 272 in Gidc-I, Mehsana. It is a busy spot. If you know the Gidc area, you know how it is. There are lots of units lined up and trucks always parked along the sides of the road. We are just one of those units. The building is basic but it works for what we do. Inside, it smells like a lab should. We have our benches set up and the staff wears their white coats. It’s not a glamorous job but it’s what we know. Most of us have been working here in Mehsana for years. We see the same faces every morning when we arrive. Some of the guys grab tea from the stall down the road before starting the shift. At 272, we focus on the samples and the reports. The walls are painted a plain color and we have some old filing cabinets that have been here forever. Sometimes the power goes out in the Gidc and we have to wait for the backup to kick in. It’s just part of life here. We don’t have a big reception area or fancy rugs. It is a working lab. When people come by to drop things off, they usually just walk straight in. We like it that way. It's straightforward and honest. We just do the work and go home.
